AcquistiVerdi.it, the Italian gateway to the green product , was created in 2005 in order to develop a meeting point between demand and offer of green products and to boost Green Public Procurement.                    

Since 3 November 2010 AcquistiVerdi.it has become a still larger meeting point, with services and contents designed for three different targets (Person, Public Administration, Company) offering interactivity tools to the users so that they are attracted and wish to surf longer in the website and look for various kind of green products as well as to comment their characteristics and share their opinions in the web.

In order to be registered with AcquistiVerdi.it, companies have to produce or distribute at least one product or service complying with one of the following approval criteria:

• To claim one or more green product labels (Ecolabel, FSC, PEFC, organic, Second life plastics, Oeko-Tex, etc. );
• To be a heating pump or, when bearing an energy label, to belong to the highest energy efficiency class ;
• To be a consumer product directly powered by Renewable Energies only;
• Cycles with pedal assistance and electric vehicles;
• Consumer products certifying a significant  waste minimisation during use, replacing widely spread disposable products;
• Consumer products certifying water saving during use;
• Led lamps and lighting systems;
• Organic and Fairtrade wrapped food products.

Free company information card

Any company claiming at least one product/service that complies with one of the above approval criteria, has the possibility to register with AcquistiVerdi.it and, once the on-line application form is filled, to obtain a free dedicated information card available to the users.

The companies are the second search result that appears immediately after products/services, when users look for an article through AcquistiVerdi.it search engine.

The information card introduces the company, shows the products the company has registered with AcquistiVerdi.it, the commercial categories these products belong to, the approval criteria, any environmental certificate the company has obtained, users’ comments on its products.
